Both sides have confronted one another in the past. I, however, don't support the Sea Shepherd. They're admirable in their devotion to their cause, but most violence has been initiated and provoked by them. For example: Illegally boarding ships and throwing acid at Japanese workers who, bear in mind, don't have authority over the policy. These guys portray themselves as a band of heroes, as a means of gaining support from the public, but their methods are questionable.
