NERC consultation on proposal to merge BAS and National Oceanography Centre (NOC)

The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is undertaking a consultation exercise on a proposal to merge two of its centres: the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) and the National Oceanography Centre (NOC).

Details of the proposal are contained in a consultation document that is available below. NERC staff and the wider science community are invited to contribute comments on this proposal.
NERC believes that there is a strong strategic case for this merger and is particularly keen to receive comments on how best to achieve the intended objectives.
NERC would particularly welcome responses submitted through our online survey and will be pleased to receive consolidated responses on behalf of a group or organisation.
We recommend downloading a copy of the consultation document for reference, before attempting to complete the online survey.
Alternatively, for those unable to access the online survey, responses can be submitted as a document via email using a pro-forma available below.
