Each year the Australian Antarctic Program recruits station communications technical officers, communications operators, communications riggers, IT officers, and many more.
As a Communications Operator you will operate the Communications Centre on station to ensure the safety of personnel travelling by air, sea and in the field. You will assist telecommunications technical staff to manage communications systems and equipment, network administration and other administrative duties. You will help other expeditioners with minor computer problems.
Communications Operators are employed in summer jobs only at Casey and Davis stations.
